Description

R-422B (NU-22BTM) is a refrigerant that can be used to replace R-22 in air conditioning (AC) systems. It's a blend of R-22 and other refrigerants that has similar operating characteristics and pressures to R-22. R-422B is non-ozone depleting, nonflammable, and has an ASHRAE A1 classification

When retrofitting a system to R-422B, you should:

Recover the remaining R-22
Add a filter drier to the system
Replace the filter drier with the same type currently in use if one already exists
