Description

R-422B (NU-22BTM) is a refrigerant that can be used to replace R-22 in air conditioning (AC) systems. It's a blend of R-22 and other refrigerants that has similar operating characteristics and pressures to R-22. R-422B is non-ozone depleting, nonflammable, and has an ASHRAE A1 classification

When retrofitting a system to R-422B, you should:

Recover the remaining R-22
Add a filter drier to the system
Replace the filter drier with the same type currently in use if one already exists

There is still a lot of "R22" equipment in service. In my opinion, after observation of the market and other factors on "R22"...I predict it will be used more and more often in new and existing equipment. I haven't used it yet, however shipping was right on time and customer service was good.

Unanswered questions.

Emailed multiple times and they are unable to answer simple questions and then they just start going completely unanswered. Had to call in, followed exact instructions discussed in call about setting up an account with tax ID and still having issues. This company is a real pain to deal with.
