Both sides of the transition, stocked

Most refrigeration operations are running two fleets at once: older racks and cases on legacy gas, and newer or retrofitted equipment on lower-GWP blends. We stock both, so you are not sourcing from two suppliers.

Keeping existing equipment running

Legacy refrigerants

Racks, walk-ins, reach-in cases, and ice machines already in service. Availability tightens as AIM Act quotas step down, so stock position matters more each season.

Retrofits and new installs

Lower-GWP replacements

Drop-in and near-drop-in replacements for R-404A and R-507, plus the blends specified on newer equipment.

Not sure which replacement your equipment takes? Put the model and current charge on your quote request and we will tell you what fits.

Who buys refrigeration gas here

Supermarket & grocery operators

Multi-site rack systems and display cases. Central billing, POs, and consistent stock across locations.

Cold storage & 3PL warehouses

Where an outage is measured in pallets of product, not service calls.

Food processing & production

Meat, dairy, seafood, beverage, and bakery plants running continuous refrigeration.

Refrigeration service contractors

Cases, mixed pallets, and full pallets for crews covering commercial accounts.

Facilities & MRO teams

Vendor onboarding, W-9, SDS, and a second approved source before you need one.

Institutional & government

Schools, hospitals, utilities, and municipal facilities buying on PO and tax exemption.

What downtime actually costs you

A rack going down in a grocery store is spoiled product and a health department clock. In a cold storage warehouse it is a customer’s inventory. Refrigeration buyers do not shop refrigerant the way a homeowner shops a part — they need to know it is on a shelf and it can be on a truck today.

Commercial refrigeration questions, answered

What is the best replacement for R-404A?

It depends on the equipment and whether you are retrofitting or replacing. R-448A and R-449A are the common lower-GWP replacements for R-404A and R-507 in supermarket racks, walk-ins, and medium and low temperature systems, and both are near-drop-in with an oil and expansion device check. R-452A is used where a closer capacity match to R-404A matters, including transport refrigeration. R-407A is a lower-cost R-404A alternative for some systems. Send your equipment model and current charge with your quote request and we will confirm what fits.

R-448A or R-449A — what is the difference?

Both are lower-GWP replacements for R-404A and R-507 with very similar performance in commercial refrigeration. They differ slightly in composition and glide, and equipment manufacturers sometimes specify one over the other. Either can generally be used where the OEM approves it. Do not mix them in the same system — pick one per circuit and stay with it.

What refrigerant do walk-in coolers and freezers use?

Older walk-ins commonly run R-404A, R-507, or R-22. Newer and retrofitted systems typically run R-448A, R-449A, or R-452A. Check the equipment nameplate before ordering, since the same physical box may have been retrofitted at some point.

Can we set up a purchase order account with net terms?

Yes. Approved business accounts order on PO with net terms and invoices go to your accounts payable contact. Your quote request doubles as the terms review, so there is no separate credit application. W-9 and vendor onboarding documents are available on request, and tax-exempt certificates are accepted.

How fast can refrigerant ship to a facility?

In-stock orders placed before 2pm CT dispatch the same business day from Arlington, Texas. Cases ship parcel ground; pallets and multi-pallet orders move on national LTL carriers with hazmat-certified handling. You receive a delivered ETA to your ZIP with pricing rather than a range, and appointment delivery, liftgate, or no-dock delivery is quoted up front.

Can you be added as a backup refrigerant supplier?

Yes, and it is a common way facilities and multi-site operators start with us. Keep your primary distributor and add us as an approved second source for peak season, allocation shortages, and emergency pulls. Vendor onboarding takes one conversation.

Is R-404A being phased out?

Production and import of high-GWP HFCs including R-404A is stepping down under the AIM Act, which tightens supply and raises price over time rather than banning use of existing systems. Servicing existing equipment remains legal. Most operators are running legacy gas while planning retrofits to R-448A, R-449A, or R-452A. We stock both sides so you are not forced to move before your equipment schedule says to.
